I was at Oulton Park on Tuesday with two guys in a Ferrai 575 Maranello that they'll be starting the Cannonball run in on Sunday.

Derek Astbury and Mark Corbridge will start the 2007 Cannonball Run Europe this Sunday (01-Jul-07) in a Ferrari 575 Maranello. Not having a great deal of experience of this car and taking into account the the Cannonball includes a track day, which neither had done before, they sought out some instruction and contacted me.

I think it was a pretty brave decision to do their first ever track day at the UK's most challenging circuit in a 540 bhp Ferrari! Bur they wanted to learn how to handle the actual car they would be using for their Cannonball adventure! Both drivers did very well considering. Derek was a little nervous and lacking in confidence at first while Mark took to it quite quickly. But both of them ended the day driving at a respectable pace and with a good grasp of how to handle a big powerful GT car!
